Marqetr Studios is the content creation and monetization arm of Marqetr.

Our founder, Mawarni Adam, and the senior team at Marqetr Studios are marketing industry veterans, where storytelling through brand building, sponsorship integrations, and monetization strategies have been at the core of their practice. The origin of Marqetr.com can be traced back to Mawarni's passion for storytelling in 2015, where, through her consultancy back then, she hired freelancers on demand to produce and market award-winning works and strategically collaborated with brands to elevate narratives, while navigating towards mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties involved. She is now replicating the same winning recipe with Marqetr Studios, and this time, instead of only catering to in-house needs, she is building a capable team to offer the same level of care, knowledge, and expertise to help other content creators and filmmakers access brand collaborations the way they never could before.

The days of silo content creation or filmmaking are long gone, and the same goes for simple brand collaborations. The creative and marketing field is now more sophisticated, dynamic, multichannel, and always-on 24/7, so today's next-generation brand collaborations must be too. Marqetr Studios understands the landscape and works with Malaysian and international brands, and many top advertising and interactive media agencies to craft and execute branded deals and integrated marketing collaborations, giving the final output for content creation and filmmaking the best chance of success, and on par with global standards.

Comprehensive and effective, strategic and practical, this overarching and detailed plan will be designed to promote your work to potential audiences. We work closely with you to gain competitive advantage and optimize your budget to ensure every dollar works hard to meet the goals and achieve the best possible outcome, impact or returns. We do this by highlighting your film or content meaningfully, and forging captivating experiences that audiences remember.

Our GTM work encompasses various aspects like market segmentation, product positioning, sales and marketing tactics, media mix and distribution channels.

Brand & Sponsorship Integrations

Our brand and sponsorship integrations work involves strategically embedding a sponsor's brand, products, or messaging into content, or films in a way that feels natural and engaging for the audience. Rather than simply displaying a logo, integration aims to create a meaningful connection between the sponsor, the content or film, and the audience's experience. We help content creators and fillmmakers look for relevant sponsors that will align and resonate with their themes and concepts, and we help sponsors look for opportunities to do beyond basic logo placement and create memorable moments. Applying the anti-thesis of a one-size-fits-all approach at Marqetr Studios, we believe, integrations when done well, can create a stronger emotional connection and increase receptivity for the overall messaging.

While we aim for increased content watchability, brand visibility and improved audience engagement, we never lose sight of measurability to track the success of the integrations. We do this by being data-driven and by putting the right metrics in place, from start to finish.

Monetization Strategies

Our work in monetization strategies involves strategic planning in turning content and films into a revenue-generating stream across channels, online and offline, by identifying how we can convert the offerings into income, and carefully considering the target audience. This process can happen before a production starts, and while it is still progressing as a way to raise and receive funding, right up to post-production to gain continous monetization benefits. We do not believe in the "spray and pray" method, which is why we strive for effectiveness through targeted but flexible approach that will not only bring in short-term results but also a long-term scalable and sustainable outcome. We are guided by the belief that any monetization strategy should be built around what the audience values most and what the content or film does best.

Monetization work that we do include but are not limited to these strategies: Direct sales or merchandising via online channels, subscription model, and selling advertising spots within the body of work.

Streaming Service

At Marqetr Studios, we want to help content creators and fimmakers expand access and opportunities. While we may not be remotely close to the giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apply TV+, we offer an opportunity to showcase your work as an extension to cinema showing and festival circuits. We do this through revenue sharing via our subscription model or a "pay wall" on our platform under the "Streaming Now" feature, and allowing you to retain the full rights to your work.

By using our streaming service and showcasing your work on alternative channels like ours, it can be a stepping stone to securing a distribution deal.

About Us

Founded by Mawarni Adam, marqetr was first conceptualized in 2015, as an on-demand platform to help women and mothers gain access to flexible employment so they can take care of their families while still striving for a career. Then, in 2020, she materialized the concept, founded the company, and opened it up to everyone and not just women when remote work and work-from-home reached unprecedented popularity, due to the pandemic. We then grew at such a fast rate in the last few years that we lost sight of our core purpose of championing the flexible work community. We have since returned to that original vision. 

That return also triggered the return to Mawarni's roots of storytelling, which led to the launch of Marqetr Studios, the content creation and monetization arm of Marqetr, in August 2025. The studios arm also acts as a hirer of freelancers from the marketplace, adding value to the ecosystem, and becoming an important component for the overall business structure.

marqetr is a fully remote company with a diverse team from multiple countries. 

​marqetr's milestones at a glance:

Dec 2020 : Founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a 2-sided internet marketplace platform for businesses to connect to top marketing freelance talents.  

Aug 2021 : Raised our first external funding via equity crowdfunding (ECF).

Sept 2022 : MARQETR Inc. was incorporated in the USA and the company shifted focus to North America for fundraising initiatives and basic operations.

Sept 2023 : Pivoted our business model to become a content production and marketing company focusing on Asian and Asian-American women, powered by top creative freelance talents.

Dec 2023 : Raised our second external funding. Operations fully shifted to NYC under a new brand name.

April 2025 : The marqetr brand reinstated and operations resumed under the founding name.

Aug 2025 : marqetr launches Marqetr Studios, the content creation and monetization arm of the marketplace.

July 2025 : Marqetr Marketplace relaunched to welcome freelancers amid growing layoffs and rightsizing trend
